What's the Catch?

  • ISN'T A HEAVIER HUB BAD?

    • While reducing weight is a prime goal of Stealth Technology, the rotational mass at the center of a wheel is significantly less than at its outermost point. Additionally because hubs are low to the ground, they act as ballasts that stabilize the bike through rollers, technical terrain, and berms of any kind.

  • WHAT MAKES STEALTH HUBS DIFFERENT THAN ONYX?

    • Stealth hubs have and will always utilize a one-way roller clutch bearing.

      • Stealth was the originator. These bearings conventional in automotive transmissions as well as many industrial applications. Onyx hubs utilize a sprag clutch bearing, but does not have moving rollers inside; because a roller clutch bearing has rollers that move when rotated in the freewheel direction. There is less drag, less wear and faster engagement than a sprag clutch bearing. Additionally, Stealth Hubs pricing is better than Onyx and includes a lifetime warranty against hub shell, axle, and driver breakages.
